Hi, my name is Lauren (Ren) Treiber, thank you for visiting my website!
I am a Licensed Massage Therapist and incorporate many other modalities of healing into my work.
Some of my credentials include:
--License and Certification in Massage Therapy from MTI in Davis, California ~ 2020
--Bachelor's of Arts in Religious Studies and minor in Asian Philosophy from Humboldt State University in Arcata, California ~ 2014
--Herbalism Certification from Dandelion Herbal Center in Kneeland, California ~ 2016
When I was in Massage School, I emphasized in the study of Acupressure. This is like Acupuncture but it actually predates it, and utilizes just touch rather than needles. This modality is just one aspect of Chinese Medicine, along with Herbalism and Moving Meditation (like Qi Gong and Tai Chi). I am deep into the self-study of Chinese Medicine, and incorporate it's philosophy into my personal life as well as my work. I am working towards Qi Gong Teaching Certification with my teacher, Mimi Kuo Deemer. You can find her guided classes on Youtube and Vimeo!
When I was studying Religious Studies at my University, I spent a semester studying Buddhism at a Tibetan Buddhist Monastic College in Kathmandu, Nepal. I have been a practitioner of Tibetan Buddhist meditations as well as Vipassana. I am happy to help guide you in your meditation practice, or teach you about meditation from scratch! Most of my time in college was spent studying Eastern Religions.
When I was in Herbalism School, I focused on wildcrafting herbs as well as preparing various medicines in the Western Herbalism tradition. I make my own tinctures, infused oils for massage, and flower essences. I am currently continuing my education with the Commonwealth Holistic Herbalism School, moving through the online coursework that will prepare me for my goal of becoming a Registered Herbalist through the American Herbalist Guild. This is hands down the most revered title that an herbalist in the US seeks, as the criterion for admission is rigorous. Acceptance into this title involves completing 400 hours of supervised clinical hours. This certification is not for the flaky weekend workshop kind of folks!
I have been internally guided and intrigued by the healing arts since I was a young girl. I love making my work in the world be about helping people find their own internal compass that will lead them to their optimal expression of health and well-being. My approach to wellness is holistic, which means that I believe it is ideal when all facets of body, spirit, and mind are engaged.
Please note: Because I share a studio with another practitioner, we have to make sure our schedules don't get crossed. MY HOURS HERE ARE LISTED BASED ON WHEN SHE DOES NOT WORK, but I have much more availability than this. So if you decide to book an appointment from this website, I only have the times listed below, but I can be potentially available for many more time frames, just connect with me about it and we can work around her schedule, thank you!
